I really don’t know much, but for me it’s just watching movies and wanting to know who the person behind the composition is. Music can be the biggest character in a film. So whenever a piece tugs on the heartstrings, spooks me to death, and gets my adrenaline going altogether…I absolutely have to find out who it is that is responsible for eliciting such response.

But most of the composers I listed frequently collaborate with my favorite directors. To the point where it’s odd whenever they don’t work together, lol.

In regards to some of the modern composers, it’s cool hearing them evolve from where they first began. Seeing Greenwood go from Radiohead to scoring There Will Be Blood and other feature films is kinda nuts. Ludwig producing jingles for Community to winning an Oscar for the Black Panther OST.

Pemberton been on one lately. Blumberg’s score for The Brutalist was crazy impressive. The Trent/Atticus snub is still egregious, but bro earned that Oscar. Season tickets copped for his future stuff.

Mac Quayle is someone who is more than capable of putting up an absolute banger score for a big theatrical film, if his work on Mr. Robot and TLOU Part II is any indication. Just hasn’t done so…yet.

He must’ve been too busy to not be featured on the HBO joint, but it worked out because that latest season did not deserve him…at all. :mjlol:
