Feel I had to make one of these threads for one of my favorite franchises No matter how it is today.

Got to go with 4 though. Single handedly saved the franchise and is still highly influential to this day

Imagine if RE7 is able to recapture the essence of the original games while serving as the first breakthrough VR horror game experience





They have a monumental opportunity on their hands. I feel like the VR tech is still too lacking to have a ton of faith in the outcome, but I'll let them cook before I spit it back out at them

Tough to choose.

RE1- directors cut cause it was my first. The jump scares, the puzzles, the snake fight , fukking shark . That countdown timer at the end. Game was crazy

RE2 though........scenario A as Claire, with scenario B Leon This one has to get the nod. Improved everything from no1 though most of the game elements are rehashed.

RE4 deserves props too for reinventing the series and still being an incredible game. But loses points for inspiring the sequels to be more action oriented

Resident Evil 4 surpassed Resident Evil 2 to me recently. I can still play RE2 and I can't wait for the remake, but RE4 is a timeless game playing through the ultimate HD edition on PC right now.

RE3 and RE2 are neck and neck.

I should of worded it a bit better. No one hated on Nemesis, but by 0,Capcom knew the whole fixed camera thing was running its course. 4 in my opinion helped the franchise for better or worse.

REmake. Re4 is a great action shooter still, but REmakes atmosphere and scariness make it GOAT level.
