The problem with this comment is that Tariq himself said that all you need is one FBA parent in order to be FBA, It's right there in the FBA website I posted earlier in this thread. So that means if you have a Jamaican parent and an FBA parent or a Cuban parent and an FBA parent, you are still FBA. They aren't
"half" FBA they are FBA according to Tariqs website. So with that said, this thing about delineation will be a turn off to someone who has a Cuban or Jamaican parent but is FBA. This is where the flaws of how Tariq defines who an FBA is.
Ryan Coogler giving the term a shoutout doesn't make it official. ABC doing a segment using the term doesn't make it official. I was right there when the term "African American" took off. It was a term recognized by the government and was pushed in the school system. That's what would make it official. The term "FBA" has not reached the level of government recognition. And one of the biggest hurdles for the government to recognize the term is it's affiliation with "reparations." If the government recognizes the term then it also has to recognize the demands behind the term. And that's just one road block for the term to get government recognition.
There are 2 more road blocks for government recognition if the term were to actually become more popular:
1) What I said earlier about FBA's who have that one nonFBA parent that would take offense to all the disrespect towards nonFBA's that is prevalent by Tariq and his online trolls (Terms like tethers and the vitriol towards Latinos).
2) people who are considered FBA who just don't fukk with Tariq Nasheed and would put energy into disparaging the term. Jason Whitlock does not fukk with Tariq Nasheed. Roland Martin does not fukk with Tariq Nasheed. These are just 2 men who have platforms and would be on the forefront of not acknowledging FBA being universally recognized. People like Roland Martin, who has had access to high level political figures, would never accept being acknowledged as FBA ( no matter how much you claim he is) because of his disdain for Tariq and would use his platform to speak out against it as he's been already doing for years.

There's no detective work. I sent the video link and article to someone and they replied that the video was removed and that's when I noticed the article was also removed. So why did the video and article get taken down? You cant just say who cares because them taking it down is them making a statement. The whole MO as to why this thread was made was to highlight ABC news acknowledging the term. So there should be an explanation as to why it was taken down.
