We are not talking about other countries, we are talking about what people are doing when they come to this country. I don't care what people are doing in their own countries. The dynamics are different, and their power structures are in place and can't be harmed by a few African Americans. Here in the US, my ethnicity has been designated as the bottom. Those who come here are informed of that fact, and they either choose to go along with the system or against it. What we have found is many go along with the system, and turn around and blame us for our circumstances. They are more focused on the the betterment of themselves and not some collective upliftment. So, seeing that, my people are deciding to do the same.
Simply put many of us are focusing on our own ethnicities issues. Many of us no longer hold any sympathy for non-Black Americans, giving back the same energy that was given to us. Now that times are tough and people are talking about brotherhood and joining together, many of us see the play for what it is. When times were only tough for Black Americans, no one cared besides using us as a litmus test to determine if they were being mistreated or not. So now, you can say you are, but some of us can also say "We do not care" too.
