My issue is alotta Black parents only have the Bible/Christianity to instill in their kids. No lessons on day to day life here on earth, no focus on interpersonal skills or critical thinking, no focus on creating self awareness, just "pray to God baby he will take care of everything ".

It doesn't help matters that people completely misinterpret the forgiveness aspect of Christianity and think it means that you can be a piece of shyt for 23 hours a day as long as you repent in that last hour (and only for that hour).

With the already limited amount of resources in the Black Community you have to equip your kids with more tools for the secular world. And this woman clearly did not.
