It's not a hub like Houston is, but it definitely has a strong population. Per the US, the "hubs" are:
Houston, Dallas, DMV, Atlanta, NYC and the tri-state area, Charlotte, Chicago, LA.
Some lesser areas/regions like Boston, Philly, Minneapolis etc. Truth be told, there are Nigerians everywhere

Even there are over 8 million ppl in the city, I always bump into Naijas. This doesnt happen to me like that in the DMV.
Nigerians hustle like no other, get the bag by any means necessary.

Unfortunately that hustle nonsense they do. Causes long lasting damages to other African communities that are simply not ready for the kinds of problems that comes with Nigerians.
This isn't exclusive to Nigeria to be honest. America is the same way. The US worships billionaires as well and takes that word as infallible. I mean just look at how we heap praise to people because of IPO valuations and what not.
The difference is Nigeria is just raw with it. I tell people all the time, if you want a raw breakdown of the primary incentives that underpin any society, come to Nigeria. It'll be laid out plain for you.
Someone said this in that China thread that was poignant. China has a population of 1.5 Billion. If even 0.5% of that population is full of criminals, then that's 7.5 million criminals. That's like the entire population of NYC. The large population intensifies things. And like always, it's always a few bad eggs that spoil the bunch.

Two different regions. One thing about NYC is that people are "out and about". Like you see a lot of people on a day to day just going from point A to point B. DMV is different. Not as many people in DMV obviously, plus the Nigerian community is more suburban (Laurel, Bowie, Lanham, Silver Spring, Gathiersburg, Upper Marlboro etc). Like I don't actually know of that many Nigerians that live in DC proper. In NYC I know a lot are out BK.
