I worked for an NGO that brought in a former child sex worker to talk about how to spot exploitation and how to support. She said something like 85% of sex workers start when they are underage. They get pressured into it then and after that just continue in the life cause they don't feel they have options.

So even if it's an adult, there's a reasonable chance that they got into the industry when they were still just a teenager.
