Okay first thing first, you didn't have to be rude. I read about this from the NY Times. Now secondly I disagree about BLM showing a victim mentality. If anything they have been accused of being bullies themselves ( which is wrong BTW). Their demands seem to be quite fair:
1) Hold police accountable for their actions
2) Stop with Stop and frisk
3) And have a equal sentence requirement for each crime; don't leave it to judges own views.

Where is the victimization in this? If BLM started inciting violence it would lose all credibility.

How does this work and how have things changed

we have a neighborhood hood watch program with our local police department. We call it city control. We have monthly meetings with a department rep to go over statistics and what we can do around the neighborhood and time for a Q and A. It kind of like a monthly town hall. We have about 20 house holds involved ( we have about 60 in our neighborhood). We take turns walking the town at night so on and so on.

We had a gang problem with graffiti, beer botles being left in the street people, getting jumped and robbed.. that stopped. We had people stealing mail out of mail boxes. We caught her red handed. We got our own park built and a stop sign we needed put up. We also got a speed meter put up because all the people using waze stared speed down our street and a couple of the kids almost got hit...

We put in time and are involved with local government goingons. The sad part is out of the 10 black families in the neighborhood mine and another one are the only ones involved

wasn't trying to be rude at all. I just wanted to make sure the link was hit so they can continue to cover stories like this. That's why I didn't copy and past it in the OP.

1) nothing wrong with this but how do they want them to be held accountable? To be fired? To be prosecuted? To have a separate outside legal agency investagte and handing down sentencing? Is there going to be any whistle blower protection for the good cops that step forward and cross the blue line? There is more to bring solutions and a broad plan to the table than just asking for the Chief to step down and shouting out demands.

2) Stop and frisk was stopped before #BLM even started. Atleast in NY it was. I didn't know of another city doing it.

3) this is not the problem. It's the exact opposite. The minimum sentencing guidelines lines ( which Al Sharpton approved of before he switched up)
Are putting Judges hands behind there backs. That's the major reason alot of states are discontinuing min sentencing & even commuting some over the top sentences. Because of Judges urging not BLM. And Obama is trying hard to completely over haul the fed process. But BLM isn't even speaking on this in detail.

It's sad that you feel the only way to stand up for your rights is to either March on the freeway or turn to violence. BLM is a shock group that lives on Likes and Repost. I don't think they confuse the message but they have brought light helping push agendas that people that really have a plan get through a little easier. Hints the FBI keeping tabs and Body Cameras. Both have been in the pipe for years but now with all the attention......
