This might sound overly cliche but there will always be a way. Prohibition of anything has never really worked. If it's not torrents it will be something else, etc. I'm not too worried right now. On the flip side, I do care about the issues and I sign petitions and try to stay active in keeping the internet a free and unrestricted area of exchanges and ideas. I don't just passively go "Oh, well there will be something new if they shut down x or y or z."

BUT...there will be something new if they shut down x or y or z.

I know this sound old but this some New World Order Shyt. This is the last obstacle for them to control and if they control this it is a wrap. Internet has become too powerful and allowed people around the world to connect seamlessly. Smh

This is true. The net has already allowed revolutions to take place. Like I said it's important to fight to keep the net an open and unrestricted place.

If charging poor/middle class people 60 + more dollar a month for even less Internet access/slower connections isn't enough to get us to finally care about crony capitalism then we really are set on our path to Neofeudalism (if we aren't already there) and we deserve every bit of it

not cuz they are just popular its because they are killin the bandwidth
video is using alot of bandwidth
Yes....and they are already paying for that bandwidth. If you feel they are using too much bandwidth, then charge THEM for it. Don't change the law and then tell everyone else they have to pay for special privilege because a few powerhouse guys are using your service like they told you they intended to use it in the first place.

The billion-dollar internet/cable companies obviously have one thing in mind: grow revenue in as many ways as possible. And for them to have the ability to do that through unreasonable prices and policies for something so essential (internet access) is very unfortunate.

Some brehs think YouTube is slow now in peak hours (those b*stards are throttling us now) wait till this kicks in. We're going back to those 56k modem days.

But no surprise there's always atleast one dummy on here :cape: for big corporations. Remember just last week brehs were bragging how much they're getting raped by AT&T :russ:

Nah, unless one of these companies decides to go against the grain and offer net neutrality there is no way of getting around this. This is your ISP having control over what sites you can visit, and having the ability to hide them behind pay walls.

Nah, people won't act, we're too complacent.

They damn near burned Brazil to the ground over a 9 cent hike in Bus fare, meanwhile we getting fukked in the ass repeatedly by these corporations and just like :yeshrug:
