You posted a tech billionaires quote taken out of context from a right wing propaganda outlet.
He's saying we should focus more on helping poor countries, not that climate change isn't real or serious. He literally says it will have 'serious consequences in his full memo.
But here's the real question is why are we listening to a billionaire about climate science in the first place? Gates isn't a climate scientist and the actual climate scientists are saying he's wrong and that climate change IS the biggest threat to poor countries. Dr. Michael Mann said Gates has it backwards and is creating a false choice.
People's brains need to be rewired to think of collectivism. We've been conditioned to think as individuals, but that's not how we survive.
There are community gardens and farmers markets around where I live but they are only active when it's warm out. In the winter that shyt is dead. And what if I want a steak or chicken wings? Bringing those kinds of animals into cities is a recipe for disaster so far as the spread of disease and bestiality.

I hear you. Thing is that I've moved around a lot over the years and don't really have a bunch of people in my immediate area.
I'm happy you have that as an option though. It's something to strive towards.
