Deaths

Korean War: US - 37,000 / NK - 500,000
Vietnam: US - 58,000 / Vietnam - 970,000 (3,700,000)
Iraq: US - 4,500 / Iraq - 200,000 (Varies)

I'm not even going to bother talking about Afghanistan. The objectives in those wars weren't complete annihilation of the enemy. In a US vs. Russia or China it would be a complete annihilation conflict. If it stayed to completely conventional weapons the US would turn both countries to glass.

Neither country can project their military. Neither country has bases surrounding the others countries. The other countries bombers and navy's and combat trained soldiers aren't up to the US. China hasnt even been in an external conflict since the 70s, and they got beat by the Vietnamese in that one. Above and beyond that, both countries have corrupt commanders who aren't even resupplying their armaments. Half of the stuff they claim to have, I don't even believe is operational and potentially even functional.

Westmoreland in Vietnam was obsessed with enemy casualty figures too. Still lost

:snoop:

It’s a fundamental problem with the American mind. They don’t understand guerrilla warfare or wars of national liberation!

For a lot of people, we might as well already be in a recession. The stock and real estate markets have been propped up to an unprecedented degree by the Fed and ballooning national debt over the last several years.

The US needs to feel this type of pain for at least 2 years IMO, there is no soft landing coming, this is what happens when you kick the can down the road

Wonder how many people have came and died who thought this same thing as well only to be wrong :dead: As long as the US military exists it will never fall
I hate to say this breh, but this is proud American delusion on display. What does a strong military matter if every other critical aspect of America is falling apart?

What was a slowly recovering economy just got nuked in a matter of weeks of the president coming into office.

Now that we've destroyed all our longstanding relationships with our allies, isolating ourselves. That means there is no longer that same network of shared defense or shared intelligence across the world like before. Basically now being forced to act alone. You know how more vulnerable that makes us? That leaves us more vulnerable than before when we had bases and mutual agreements everywhere around the world

Before, America was able to set the tone all over the world. Not just because of military strength but also because of their influence in alliances. Now that those relationships have been torn up, that global clout is gone. THere's no more diplomatic leverage like before. The rest of the world is making moves without America's input.

All our govt institutions are being dismantled at an unbelievable rate. social security and medicaid on the verge of being cut. Dept of Education dismantled and scientists working on cures being fired. ignoring the courts and bringing the legitimacy of the Constitution itself to its knees. You think an empire can remain strong with all of that happening internally?

We have to be real. This ain't the 1990s anymore. What is so impressive about big guns and stealth fighter jets when Russia was able to manipulate an entire election with some social media fukkery? You think America is still as secure as it was before with the drunk ass head of the DoD carelessly sending classified war plans on a random app not even knowing who all was in the group? We're still just as strong when the president decides to fire the head of the NSA off the recommendation of an airhead botox lipped conspiracy theorist?

"but at least nobody would bomb us tho" :mjlol:
