I'm not even going to bother talking about Afghanistan. The objectives in those wars weren't complete annihilation of the enemy. In a US vs. Russia or China it would be a complete annihilation conflict. If it stayed to completely conventional weapons the US would turn both countries to glass.
Neither country can project their military. Neither country has bases surrounding the others countries. The other countries bombers and navy's and combat trained soldiers aren't up to the US. China hasnt even been in an external conflict since the 70s, and they got beat by the Vietnamese in that one. Above and beyond that, both countries have corrupt commanders who aren't even resupplying their armaments. Half of the stuff they claim to have, I don't even believe is operational and potentially even functional.
Westmoreland in Vietnam was obsessed with enemy casualty figures too. Still lost

It’s a fundamental problem with the American mind. They don’t understand guerrilla warfare or wars of national liberation!

As long as the US military exists it will never fall
