Sometimes I wonder are teams like the Kings just bad at drafting or do they suck at developing players? (Most likely a mix of both). For example if Kawhi were drafted by the Pelicans or some shyt where would he be today?

Goatganda the pearl of Africa
Not to mention they drafted Isaiah Thomas the last pick in that draft, he played great for them and then traded him for Alex oriakhi :mjlol:

The kings missed out on players like damian lillard devin booker Lyle in phoenix klay Thompson and giannis in Milwaukee.

And picked jimmer ben mclemore willy cauley stein nick staukas and thomas robinson.

Counsins stuck in a bad organization

Both, and they just seem like a terribly run organization. I don't completely blame them for dropping the ball on Whiteside, I've heard stories about his tenure there and its stuff of legend

-After practice Samuel Dalembert and Pete Carril tried to teach him shot blocking techniques and Whiteside would just say "nah," and Dalembert would be like "dude it's not an option. come over here and work out" and Whiteside would say something like "Alright, I'll give you 10 reps and that's all"

-His first training camp with the Kings he made something like 480k and inexplicably showed up the first day of camp with a $200,000 Mercedes.

- Hassan one time was flexing and admiring himself in front of a one-way mirror and the media was on the other side laughing their asses off without Hassan realizing.

- Jason Jones covers the Kings and follows the team. After a year and a half with the Kings, Hassan was like "Hey Jason.... so why are you always here?" and Jason's like "What do you mean?" Hassan's like "Are you a really big fan or something? Why are you at all our games?" and Boogie, who was nearby, was like "Dude... what? Come on. He's the beat writer."

And they traded Isaiah Thomas for a 2nd round pick and some cat that ended up playing in Venezuela :dead:

That's what I'm saying. These guys could have had Hasaan Whiteside, Boogie, and Isaiah Thomas yet they couldn't develop any of them other than Cousins of course who probably doesn't need development (or could he be an even better player on another team?)

Cousins is a good talent, he's not a leader. He would've fared better with an alpha player like Wade

He's not that good.

When his contract is up he can go to a better team.
