And to answer your question, no immigration is not a positive for black people. But neither is holding on to the same hotel workers, produce picking, and janitorial gigs we been holding on to since the 1920s. No the violence is Chicago stemmed off of the crack epidemic, which lead to gang culture and through a combination of politics has been unsuccessfully combatted. Honestly black folks living in Chicago in these violent areas should just move.

And yes black folks observe the effects of Democratic policy. Hell most black people who vote (especially down south) are more conservative than anything. Black people are one issue voters though. And that issue is racism. As long as Republicans out here dog whistling they ain't getting the black vote.

Let a conservative talk about handing out reparations though. Black folks will jump ship on the Dems with a quickness. But repubs need that racist vote. So that ain't happening.
