I've done it but didnt tell my lady I was hanging out with her because she didnt like the chick based on ish other people put in her head. She met the chick after a race we did together and was nice to her but after that was on some "I dont want you to be her friend anymore" shyt. But I didnt care, the chick was/is a good friend, young, thorough and a solid connect. i wasnt gonna let her go because someone TOLD me to. Two years later, we are still good friends and talk/text every dayum day.

Meanwhile, my "lady" is now my ex. Go figure

i'm getting to a point where living 2 or 3 separate lives is the way to go

You gotta see it from the other way too. You dont want to be having your chick all up in her exes' face proclaiming oh they're just friends. it's sounds like bullshyt. You didnt want to be controlled but there's a thing called boundries. It's simple. Respect your relationship, if you didnt you wouldnt have one with her. What man/ woman would allow their current S/o to be cool still hanging with an ex? Trust? LOL. yeah right...
