You are right but I was talking about intelligence when referencing the PhD. A black militant is only necessarily "close-minded and hypocritical. if one assumes black militancy is necessarily "close-minded and hypocritical" which I do not.

More educated people are generally but not always smarter than the non-educated person. There are some brilliant people with no education but most people with no educations (ie. dropouts) are generally not smart. There are far more brilliant people among the educated than not-educated. That's because education is associated with wealth and comes easy the brilliant and not-so-easy to everyone else.

This is true but reading and writing is an indication of intellect just like understanding algebra and solving problems is also an indication. As relates level of intelligence, I'd say reading and writing is a "necessary but not sufficient" part of high intellect.
