I'd hope that a girl I was interested in, and was texting conversationally with, wouldn't text 'k', it's not always as dismissive as it sounds, but, still. Personally, I don't like to see that shyt at all, business texts, friends, whatever just don't respond, or put ok. But, this generation, with the advancement of phone technology especially, everything is negated to 'faster, easier', and that is a result.

doesn't even have to be a lady you deal with like that.. one word/very short replies if i'm trying to have a substantial convo are means for immediate end of conversation. i mean sometimes they're warranted (like "meet you in 5 min in front of the bar" "k" or something) but most of the time, nah.
