I guess money but you can always make more to live alone or someone else if there's no kids involved. I don't understand "trapped" per session but it can be cheaper to keep her (ie be lazy).

Some people get caught up on history- not wanting to start over so they accept BS instead of walking away because they've invested 5+ years in a relationship.

one of my brehs wants to leave his girl but he's saying he trapped now ,he has no job
she helps him with his rent, is a "down ass chick" as you mericans would say
but during the 2nd year of their relationship she put on mad weight , he aint really feeling it but she helping him pay bills plus he already broke up with her once so now he feels trapped, doesn't want to hurt her feelings but also needs help financially
he said when he glo's up in a few months he might leave her
Man I can't imagine ever being in that position. That's a no-no in my family. Selling your soul to a woman like that. Having to ask her for money every time you need something like you're her kid

It's partially not wanting to lose the emotional, financial, and time investment you made with that woman.
And then it's also not wanting to be the bad guy, "a bad guy".
When you know that a woman is head over heels in love with you and wants to spend her whole life with you, how do you break the news to her that you don't feel the same.
So instead of putting that pain onto the woman, they just bottle up their own unhappiness inside and try and soldier through it to keep the woman happy.
And then it's also not wanting to be the bad guy, "a bad guy".

Relationships are an investment in time..some are hell bent on making the time invested in someone pay out by any means necessary even if it means acting the part of a tyrant or nailing themselves to the "cross" and not letting that person go. This is the essence of weakness especially if children are not involved in the equation.

When I was in NC, my friends ex gf tried to jump me cuz I hugged him and that night involved a car chase (with a toddler in her car) and police.Oh so you never dated a crazy bytch.
But flash forward 2 years and he has a baby with her and taking paternity tests and attending court dates.
You can let them go. Many just give in and keep giving them hope.
