Yes, there's some truth in that. But it probably applies to women even more. You always hear women say they want a good man, but they neglect to say that that good man has to also LOOK GOOD to them. Contrary to what you see in movies, women ain't giving a man some play just because of his good character. That's why "nice guys finish last" is such a common phrase.
