copying the game to your hard drive then copying it to another one to play sounds good.....
Of course it'll require the disc to be in there to prevent fukkery, they aint that dumb.

So you think a disc will ALWAYS be required?
unless it's a digital download, you kinda have to. Or else what's stopping me from buying a game and copying to my friend MeachTheMonster's PS4 and both of us eating off one copy.

Me too, but my point was you need the disc for authentication or nikkaz can eat off one copy of the game. 360 does it now.
If you need the disc then your not really playing directly off the hardrive.

If they allow pre-release downloads like Steam, then I'm going digital next gen. No more waiting for Amazon to deliver on release day or going to Best Buy or Gamestop.
Some games do that now (Day 1 Digi Download). I bought NG3 Razors Edge that way.
But i prefer discs so that I can recoup some of the cost when done.
Disc is for authentication. Better that that being online. Did you read my previous post friend? If the disc isn't needed, what's stopping me from installing my disc copy on multiple friend's ps4s if that is the case? Hence, you need the disc to authenticate to play the game..
And using the disc to authenticate removes the benefits of not needing a disc. Things like instantly switching between games, storing games in the cloud, ect.
