If you are going to allow a carton to warp your view of the world to the point where it damages your psyche then that is all on you.

It is the combination of the anime and other factors. If you remove the Harem Anime I think we could at least buy some more time before a psychological break happens. Remember these dudes already have the tendency genetically to fixate and deviate from reality.

Do we even know the true psychological impact and power of suggestion involved in television in general for susceptible populations? It's only been around for less than 100 years.

Who knows some individuals may be more sensitive to the waves put out by electronic devices and brain may be able to even infer the information at the radio wave atomic level. How do we know that nikkas brain chemistries are not being changed by Wi-Fi too? We just don't know. They've done studies, but nothing long-term.

I'd like to see the difference in brain chemistry for identical twins one who watches Anime and the other who watches real live action TV with real humans. Maybe it's been done in Japan already, I will look for it.

Me and all my friends watch anime. If you're a 90's baby you grew up on anime. Even a lot of girls I talk to like anime, just like video games. You can be the hoodest nikka ever but I guarantee you grew up watching DragonBall Z and Yu-Gi-Oh unless you were poor af and didn't have a TV. Why the fukk do the majority of American anime fans have the following characteristics:

• Obese (50+ pounds overweight carried in the gut area) OR skinny as fukk and anemic
• Ugly (Unhealthy skin from lack of sleep and nutrition, dull looking)
• Either STEM Major OR low paying dead end job (never seems to be any middle ground here)
• Completely Geeked out (No mainstream interests)
• Sometimes Suicidal, Autistic, Mentally disturbed and more (Just check ***** threads for context and how many serial killers/mass shooters have posted on there)

Look I'm not saying he is a bad person. But he is what comes to mind to people when they think of people who watch Anime. The reality is that many different people watch Anime worldwide from all different walks of life. I'm not saying expect to have other things in common with people who share a favorite interest of yours. But these guys should not be watching Anime because it is not only fueling a stereotype it is fueling the fantasy world they live in where they escape from reality. And the reality is the dude needs to lift some iron ASAP and more importantly adjust his diet.

Anime is not my only interest. But for a lot of Anime fans it dominates their life and defines who they are. They wear it, buy the outfits, plush dolls and all this other shyt. When I went to Japan and stayed in Akihabara I didn't even go inside one anime store. I like watching it but that's it. I don't live the "lifestyle". I live my own lifestyle. I was more interested in the shrines and hot springs.

My question is ultimately why are there no "Normal" Anime fans? People that have other interests and are not reclusive in nature? Or do they exist but hide their interest in Anime because of the exact point I am making in this post? Oh and don't get me started on finding a halfway decent Woman (physically AND mentally) into Anime. Long story short: You won't. The ones who are into "bishounen" manga are even more delusional than the fat dudes thinking some Japanese bytch in a sailor outfit will ride their baby dikk.

I think the Japanese are great social commentors. The social commentary in Psycho Pass is

Alot of good Japanese anime is cerebral and action packed. Plays right in line with things nerds like. Thinking and action.

I don't think those stereotypes apply to casual anime fans. Especially black anime fans. I knew plenty of dudes who were running through females that watched anime and weren't socially awkward.(athletes, fraternities, club promoters)
Hell my ex never saw me read manga or watch anime until almost 4 yrs into our relationship. I just did it when she wasn't around.

Now that I'm older I can't say I really have time to watch or read. Hell I've taken a 6 month break on bleach. And I've been watching/reading that since my junior yr of high school.
