As soon as he tried to pull off after the cop said he was stopped for a seatbelt violation it just went downhill. Nah, the driver was wildin'. If you was driving without your seatbelt on, just take your L and keep it moving. He was wasnt taking accountability for that and deflected to "all the other drivers were driving without one". Then refused to give up his license. So yeah, he was gonna get arrested for not complying after committing an infraction. What was the first officer supposed to do, be like oh you didn't give me your license when your clearly in the wrong, carry on.

The second officer did the most. And it could be 100% true that she grabbed the wrong weapon, but clearly she ain't cut out for the job and should be removed and charged immediately.

The first officer didn't do anything wrong, he spoke to dude, tried to reason with him, didn't yell or curse or be disrespectful as far as the video shows. Then told him where the situation was headed and the driver decided to get physical anyway. How could you not expect to get shot, being black in America.

And Im not even putting pass the officers that the driver was singled out of all the drivers driving without seatbelts because he was black. But the driver doesnt know that as fact and there is no way to prove that.

One of the most upsetting (read: idiotic ) things about those who defend cops in these situations is that they forget the "respect" for cops is supposed to be how they face dangerous situations with a calm demeanor. They are supposed to be trained professionals, YET, whenever tense situations happen, they react just like any normal person would. The respect comes from the idea that they could die in the line of duty serving the people correctly, but now it's morphed into "I gotta do whatever I gotta do to get home to my family" and that is a terrible mentality for a public servant. I couldn't imagine a fire fighter seeing a fire and hitting the



If the situation gets tense and you don't know your taser from your gun (if that is your "defense" ) then you deserve no respect as a member of law enforcement. You are a scared civilian with a badge who 99% of the time is in non threatening situations. The 1% of the time you get into a scary moment, you blow it. Put her under the jail

The first officer tried to de-escalate the situation. He was speaking to him reasonably and was like its just a seatbelt. Then said you bout to make me take you to jail over a seatbelt infraction. The driver was still wildin' about it. It was no way to de-escalate the situation at that point. How many warnings does the driver want. If I tell you, I'm bout to take you to jail because you acting stupid and you still acting stupid, then its on you what happens after that.
