Almost all truckers generate and "gross" alot of money. But how much is left after fuel, taxes, insurance and other operating expenses?

They almost never give you the real numbers

Along with the mandatory dates of deliveries, lack of sleep, shyt trucking companies that can be certified slave owners, never seeing your house or apartment, etc.

I always hate this whole "be a trucker" argument, because it comes with so much baggage, only the most bout it bout it can hold it down.

This is just viral CDL babble.

None of these people actually give the real numbers, any time a business owner or entrepreneur makes a video talking about ANYTHING, it's pure cap! If you really making $ you don't have time to have a side hustle as a content creator because it sucks so much time to do that. Creating content takes hours away from your real work and if you work for yourself you'd be looking for revenue streams that require the LEAST amount of time and energy to generate income.:unimpressed:

Rookie mistake she should be using discretion and keep quiet. For one, there are desperate folks out there and the wolves are hungry. People get got for doing way less. Secondly her paper work better be straight because come tax season she will get audited more than others. Flex culture comes with consequences.

Hey, fukk you buddy. I'll hold up your delivery of Eucalyptus leaves and have you looking skinny and sick like a fukking Chinese Sun Bear.

But the real reason trucking sucks is because of deregulation. Surprisingly it was Jimmy Carter who pushed for deregulation of the trucking industry in a ploy to push down the price of consumer goods. It worked but it came at the expense of the trucking companies and drivers (mainly the latter) as so many people with a one truck operation jumped into the business willing to undercut everyone else to basically pay to haul someone's cheap goods along with mega carriers surviving on volume and contracts willing to make those pennies of profit on each load add up. It's nothing but ruinous competition.

Also point to point shipping is what made the lifestyle hell but when it was introduced at least it was worth it. Before that freight was shipped from shipper to terminal to another terminal and so on and so forth until it reached the destination city and a local driver did those last miles. Basically what LTL trucking is today. It all used to be like that.

All these changes help subsidize the cost of consumer goods. Whether or not the consumer still sees this discount well that's something to take up with the corporations enjoying the cheap shipping rates.
