Feminism is a joke. Most "isms" are jokes.

If you are a "black feminist" than you've already lost. There is no such thing as a "black feminist" because the American feminist movement does not care about black women. In America, "black woman" and "woman" are not the same. You're fighting a battle that your fellow "sisthren" have no interest in seeing you making it to the end of. They are throwing black women to the army front line, with no armor or weapons. No defense, no shield. Allowing black women to take the majority of the blows, in hope that the true feminists will learn lessons and strategies to use in the future. In the world of feminism. Black women are the pawns of the chess board, and bait for the sharks. Nothing more, everything less. Led on to think they are important but they are just sacrifice for a higher cause. Sold a dream that they are all fighting for the same thing, but in the end you're fighting for benefits you'll never see. :yeshrug:

You can start at the Black male privilege list that several female posters on here dapped. :mjlol:

Pushing division between Black men and Black women = tool of White supremacy.

I didn't read the whole thing, but from what I did read I would dap it too.

Here's what people have to understand. There is a division because black men and black women have different experiences. We have similar ones too but we are not completely the same. Just because we are different doesn't mean we are enemies. We have conflicts that need to me dealt with.

Black people deal with racism, may deal with classism, black women deal sexism in addition to the aforementioned issues.
Because Susan B Anthony, the
leader of the women's suffrage/feminist movement believed in the advancement of white women. So much so that she believed that black men shouldn't be afforded any rights (or equal to a white man) before a white woman. Feminism fails to address the issue of intersectionality, i.e being a black woman. It directly goes against and threatens black empowerment.

Feminism has and still does often exclude women of color and their issues which is why black feminism groups were formed.

Feminism is a very broad term.

Can we please have an intelligent discussion on why some posters feel that feminism is a tool of white supremacy?

I've been accused of it several times. I would like to understand how some posters are making that connection.

If black women are fighting against misogyny on behalf of other black women, I see no issue with that.

What I have a problem with are black women joining forces with white feminist movements. This pic alone shows that the whole "YouOkSis" movement has only one race of men in it's crosshairs.

If the roles were reversed and women were the dominant gender, you sure as hell wouldn't catch me supporting white mens rights movements

Right. I know people who prefer to call themselves womanists instead of feminists and that's fine. I personally still think it falls under the same umbrella and truth be told, I'd consider myself a womanist as well.

It seems yall dude just need to hate on something
No, this is the truth.

White Woman gets hurt, it's a big deal for the country. They won't stop until it's news everywhere.

Black woman gets hurt, or beat up by cops, and they'll do their best to sweep it under the rug.

The only time American Media and Feminists care about black women getting hurt, is when it is at the hands of a black man. That way, they can still keep their agenda in tact, which is ultimately the complete image assassination of black people in general.

"Women" and "Black Women" are not the same thing in this country.

Feminism, womanism (focus on black gendered struggle) or Africana womanism (focus on black diaspora) are all based on the radical notion that women are people too. It isn't about putting men down.

One of the things we learn in many of our AFR classes is that if we worked to eradicate the injustices against black and 3rd world women, we would end up disassembling all the other inequalities (for other disempowered groups) along the way. It would only make things better for black men, and in fact, keeping our husbands and sons safe and prosperous is a highly sought after feminist goal.

My sister a Black feminist i don't fukk with dat bytch. Yall type it, i live it. Black women who identify as feminist are some of the most Black men loathing, Cuba Gooding Jr built aids of White Supremacy that have ever existed. QUICK to throw Black men under the bus but ever so silent when it comes to White men.

Just because i don't bend over and spread my azz cheeks to some of these arguments does not mean i want women oppressed.. got damn.

Well yeah most men don't realize men's rights are part of feminism. Pity.
