I feel like the issue lies within the label "feminist" and in people's interpretation of that label.
I am a person against sexism. To me that is the essence of feminism.
Now, a white women uses feminism from her lofty, priviledged perspective. She only sees the issues she is exposed to.
As a minority woman, i may see issues dealing with sexism compounded with racism and/or classism. However, being that I am also against sexism I would also be considered a feminist.
A racist white woman can call herself a feminist. She would be a selective or noninclusive feminist, basically a poor example of one. Other feminists should be able to address and point out why she is problematic, without that person or group tainting the whole label of feminism. (Especially now, that pur voices can be heard faster and by a larger audience through the internet and social media.)
Since white women have been able to have their voices heard louder and farther than others, they are the face of "mainstream" feminism, (even though they were inspired by black women), there is another term for people who advocate for all women's rights (including minorities) and it is womenism/womenists. Though it is not as familiar to most people as feminism/feminist.

I'm for the advancement, betterment, and progression of humans in general. Not just black women an black men. Everyone. I want people of all creeds to do better. I know it's probably not going to happen. But I truly hope for a better world one day, and I hope that I'm around to see it.
