On Saturday, July 9, police responded to the Kentucky Motel in the 1400 block of 14th Street West for a possible narcotics overdose of two people.
The report was made by motel staff, who, in the process of providing room service, located a man and woman unconscious in their room. A four-year-old child was also in the room, unharmed.

A staff member administered naloxone to the 46-year-old woman, and EMS responders administered NARCAN to the 51-year-old man. Naloxone, known by its brand dame, Narcan is used to quickly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
Both were taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital under the Marchman Act, which permits law enforcement officers to take a person, or persons, under Protective Custody to his or her home, to a hospital, or to a licensed detoxification or addictions receiving facility, whichever the officer determines is most appropriate.
The child, identified as the couple’s grandchild, located in the motel room was taken into custody by Child Protective Services.
Where was all this concerted care and concern during the crack epidemic..theyve even managed to give narcan to hotels and other venues where cacs OD.

You couldnt find real heroin rn if ya life depended on it. Heroin also lsts longer. So all these addicts who were doing dope are now taking fet, which runs up ya tolerance and you take a hit and will literally pass out mid conversation like a brick. Wake up and be sick an hr later. Dope would last a whole day or more if you didnt shoot it.
Its a fukking mess out there rn. I feel bad for people cuz this is gonna kill more people, and take numbers in the fukkin millions to die before they out opium and poppy and heroin back in the market.

The numbers on overdose deaths don't even come close to the number of people using and continuing to use. It's like Tobacco or something like that. It seems like a lot, and it IS, in a sense, but it's more shocking how many addicts there are still using vs the ones dying.
