Friends I am many, many pages behind on probably the greatest thread on the internet. For real it's a blessing to be able to see and discuss this series of events with black folks. No bullshyt I've laughed like crazy and teared up. Shout out to everyone who is protesting, donating, sharing, and coming up with social media campaigns.

A bit off topic and I don't know if this will have been posted since I'm behind but this article gives a bit of an insight into the Holder/Obama relationship and their takes on civil rights matters. A bit long but I'm a fan of behind the scenes political stuff and I thought it was enjoyable. I'd recommend the book This Town if that kind of subject matter interests you. These two know they're on their way out, so I'm hoping this gives them the push and clout they need to get some things done, not just in the Brown case but with the criminal justice system as a whole. I'm pretty critical about some of his policy choices but they're playing the game like everyone else and midterms are here.

How is it a "puppet mayor" if he's one of your own people, vetted and elected by the the population?

And how could it NOT be better for them, considering that right now, they have some fat cac in office?
