My brother, Carnell McGill, is a first-time offender who was given 27 years for a crime he didn't commit at 19 years old. He was given more time than a murderer just for standing up for his constitutional rights and has already served 10. Both my brother's witness and the plaintiff's own key witness testified that Carnell was not a part of this robbery, but the facts didn't matter in a tainted, unfair trial. The judicial system has been corrupt for many years and the laws need to be changed.

That's why I signed a petition to President Barack Obama, which says:

"Stop illegal sentencing and support the Smarter Sentencing Act. The federal/state criminal justice system needs to be reformed!"
