You're misunderstanding me. My outrage IS directed towards our community for patronizing these stores in the first place. We should stop patronizing them and kick them out. That's why I disagreed with that poster about sparing the ones who may have had their backs, they all (the nonblack ones) should go. I don't want to derail, but the events leading up the coup in Egypt is more nuanced than that. true, there were foreign elements and remnants of the Mubarak dictatorship that were actively working to abort Egypt's first attempt at democracy, but Mursi did himself no favors with his uneven, non-inclusive rule. there were also many liberals and leftists that harbored an intense jealousy towards the Muslim Brotherhood, due the Brotherhoods superior organizational and campaigning skills and they wanted to fukk them over at any cost.

I had arguments with many Egyptian "leftists" that I once considered my friends that they should have organized and voted Morsi out in the next election if they didn't like him. now they have North Korean style, Dear Leader wins 98.7% of the vote democracy. well done you dumb fukks.

I don't wanna go into the policies of the Muslim Brotherhood because it would absolutely derail the thread, but put it this way... If Morsi were in charge of Egypt right now there would be UN convoys and humanatarian aid reaching the palestineans by way of Egypt. Also, probably weapons smuggled in from Iran and Jordan, again by way of Egypt. There were many things the government "officially" denounced that they let happen anyway because they were sympathetic to the cause despite what they needed to say for the purpose of the UN and Nato. Sort of like how Commisioner Gordon helps Batman but has to keep it lowkey.

But... I'm sure we can chat about all that a little more when this current thing in Ferguson is over.
