Question: is showing footage of what transpired before the shooting something they shouldn't be doing?
regardless of what light it paints, how is the news wrong for showing what happened?
Tonight? Right now? It's absolutely inappropriate to be focused on said footage.
And they shouldn't really be placing an emphasis on it anyways...The very release of the footage was disallowed by the Department of Justice for a reason.
Should it have come out? Depends on the facts of the case. Right now, the Chief of Police has stated that the officer didn't even know about it.
But NOBODY can deny that the WAY in which it was released (Before the officers name, after the DOJ said don't do it, after a night of calm and peace) was vindictive and spiteful.
Please don't start your tea-party stuff right now. I.Just.Can't.
