So I've been thinking, what type of protest would be most effective in communicating the situation of blacks in America and something came to me.
Everyday for seven days, blacks, or anyone down with the movement, should meet up and play dead for one hour.
Why? Because that is what they want. They want us dead, extinct, non-existent. And they want us to play into their hands, so we should.
This tactic will work two-fold. Firstly, its a psychological exercise for those involved. Playing dead will remove the fear of death. Laying on the ground, looking up at the sun will show you that you have no where to go but up. Embracing death will allow you to live freely... or at least start to remove fears similar to that, once the fear of death is conquered, then we have to conquer the fears of social life.
Secondly, the image of multiple black bodies laying in the street, or park, or wherever being shown on TV will show whites, whether they are with us or against us, what we are really dealing with: Blacks dead in the streets. And shown for seven days, will give us an "Army of the Dead" vibe. We have already lost many of us to police brutality, what else more have we to lose but our lives themselves?
This tactic is getting that message across in the most straight forward fashion possible without having to actually take that Nestea plunge and without violence, (on our side, which is the important part) Yes, it is essentially playing the victim. But after that, what else is there?
Just an idea. Thoughts? Opinions? Add on.
