Yeeeeeeea folks don’t understand that the damage has been done, we just aren’t feeling it yet. :francis:

The tariffs from April 10th take 30 days to show its true effects because it takes a minimum 30 days for containers from China to reach the US (LA).
Pay closer attention May 10th :sas2:

Think about all the jobs in warehouses, ports, logistics and so on that’ll be affected.
It’s about to get SPOOKY :whew:

Malcolm and Huey, as well as several other Black revolutionaries were engaging with revolutionary Marxist ideals, like anti-colonialism, not endorsing totalitarianism - the state in which China exists today. They saw Mao's China as a counterweight to Western imperialism and racism, not as a model for dictatorship.

Xi's China today is a surveillance state driven by nationalism, state capitalism, and strict authoritarian control. There's no class struggle, no worker ownership, and no bottom-up liberation. They wouldn't have stood for that. Stop twisting their legacy to run interference for a brutal dictatorship.

Good grief. You're making my point for me. You rightly criticize Trump as a conman with authoritarian tendencies, but then you turn around and say Putin and Xi are more "trustworthy"? No offense, but that view is backwards and blind to reality. These are men who crush dissent, rig elections, imprison journalists, and silence opposition through violence. You're not critiquing Trump when you call them "more honest," you are giving an unintentional endorsement of full-blown dictatorship.

If Trump is dangerous (and I agree he is), it's *because* he's trying to emulate exactly what Xi and Putin already represent. So why are you romanticizing them?
putin Xiping are more trustworthy than Trump, because they have never pretended to be something that they weren't. Xiping is the leader of the Peoples Republic. What ever he is is right in the front of you. Putin is a corrupt man. He took over a corrupt government and he is doing exactly what you would expect and he is seen as a criminalby the rest of the World. Neither one of them pretend9 to be anything except what you already know.

Trump pretends to be smart. He pretends to be honest. He pretends, but what he actually is is just a criminal thug that is trying to overturn Democracy.

This is moral relativism. You're making the mistake of confusing the *appearance* of consistency with moral clarity. Just because Xi and Putin don't sugarcoat their authoritarianism *in tone* doesn't mean they're honest leaders. In reality, they hide the worst of their actions behind censorship, state propaganda, and brutal repression.

They aren't transparent. They're just better at selling a controlled narrative, both to their own people, *and* to international audiences disillusioned with Western hypocrisy. That doesn't make them trustworthy. It makes them extremely effective propagandists. Saying they're more "trustworthy" because their authoritarianism is predictable is dangerous logic. Predictable tyranny is still tyranny. You should see it as a red flag, not a virtue.

All three -- Putin, Xi, and Trump -- are corrupt, repressive, and dangerous. Trump tries to wrap his authoritarian instincts in the language of democracy. Xi and Putin package theirs in nationalism, anti-Western sentiment, and promises of order. Admiring them for "not pretending" is falling for a different kind of performance.

There's no palatable form of authoritarianism.

The fact that Trump is even being mentioned in comparison to Putin and Xiping shows that Trump is worse than both of them.

Yeah President Xi is looked upon more of a visionary in China. Not sure about the Westerners who frankly know nothing about him. I do know he stayed briefly in the US. Putin and Trump has more of a sketchy past compared to Xi. Xi is an angel compared to someone like Kim Jung Un tho.
