You know what's funny....this offseason, I'm prety sure I remember Jason Kidd saying he wanted to go to New York Knicks and mentor Jeremy Lin at the point position. Not too long later, Lin bolts for Houston and a big contract.

He should've stayed and learned first hand from a willing HOF'r like J Kidd.

Instead I think he knew he was a flash in the pan somewhat and just bolted for the easy money.

He coulda stayed in NY, still got endorsement money, supreme adulation from fans, and most importantly, improved his game for a season or two with J. Kidd, THEN left for even more money.

Well for one, If he decided to come back after they signed Felton he wouldn't have gotten much PT.

For two his game would have gotten exposed eventually during the course of a full season. Kidd would've been forced to play more minutes and it would've been a mess. He would've been making more jack than JR Smith which would have led to friction eventually.

The Knicks basically cut Lin and everyone who like him the most (Landry Fields, Jefferies). The Knicks played it smart.

He's not garbage but he's not great either. I think he's a back up PG in the NBA. He's more of a change-of-pace PG. But if he can develop a consistent midrange, he's a starter.

I wish we would've traded Lin for Lowry straight up.

I dont think people are hating on HIM directly.
It's more of the extreme hype and coverage around him....it's not his fault, but then it is his fault.

I mean comeone, NBATV was doing Linsanity specials where they did nothing but show his really good 4-5 games back to back all day.

You got players in the league way better than Lin and can't crack nightly highlight reels....but this dude has a few good games and is now worthy of all-day specials?
