EVERY SINGLE caller into the radio station since the DAY that contract was signed (a) said it was a terrible contract and that Amaro should be fired for giving it to him, especially considering WHEN he gave it to him, and (b) points to it as a direct criticism of him for ANYTHING he does.
So I dunno how many Phillies fans you spoke to, but the HUNDREDS (and possibly thousands) who have called into that station to voice their displeasure is a definite contrast to that. NOBODY is hated more in this city than Ryan Howard, except maybe Vick...and Ryan Howard ain't never did no fukk shyt or otherwise been an a$$hole.
