I think if Shane was still involved he might've handed them reigns over already. I don't think he has anything against Triple H but Vince is most definitely the kind of man who wants the McMahon name to run the company and he knows Stephanie ain't it, so he's going to run it until he's in the ground.

HHH and Stephanie aren't being placed in positions to pass or fail in the company. When they negotiated the TV deal and launched the Network, they were kept away from that to shield from any blame. Stephanie was made "Chief Brand Officer" and HHH is basically the booker. I think WWE just gets sold to Disney after Vince dies, and Stephanie and HHH stay in their current roles
