Anyone who posts a 15+ twitter post reply to someone criticizing a celebrity should be forced into a mental institution. For real, what semi-rational human cares that much about someone not liking a celebrity that they themself happen to like? Not certain I could gather that much energy to defend any person on this planet except maybe my mother, let alone a celebrity who does not know or care that I exist.

I don't care about Beyonce opinions, but I am a little familiar with the writer (not personally, I just see her stuff here and there) and she's a typical black writer who attacks and critiques black things and black people on behalf of white people and white publications

She's one of those black women who white people keep around as their POC friend

Yea she definitely shyts on black films/tv shows.

Would need @Voice of Reason to post the original quote, but I think its from Insecure when she shyted on black men.

However, I will say the tweet with the quote in the OP does echo somethings people on thecoli have said about Beyonce. However, this wasnt the platform for that imo.

I liked the album, but if this ain't the damn truth about Beyonce

"Her words reflect broadly liberal pablum meant to give the appearance of care and mean just enough that her fans can project radicalness upon her but not so much that she would ruffle anyone enough for her to lose money or be forced to stand for something."

I personally am starting to reject the idea the celebrities need to comment on every geopolitical/sectarian conflict on Earth. There more than enough sources of information (or misinformation) to cultivate your own stance. Quotes and statements from woefully uniformed people only serve to muddy the waters.

That fight over there ain't got shyt to do with African-Americans, doesn't harm any African-Americans and isn't even taking place on American soil. I don't fault ANY black person for not making this a priority no more than I wouldn't fault a Japanese person in Osaka for not posting BLM shyt. Like lets be reality.

It's important to be informed, but if you think we need Beyonce's opinion over Nikki Haley's or Kamala Harris' then you're actually an idiot.

Beyonce doesn't need some hack writer to incite hate. She's earned all the hate she gets on her own

The woman barely speaks because there's nothing going on upstairs. If you were expecting Beyonce to be a paragon of political and social discourse, you need to also check for Ja Rules thoughts on the debt ceiling
