I liked the album, but if this ain't the damn truth about Beyonce

"Her words reflect broadly liberal pablum meant to give the appearance of care and mean just enough that her fans can project radicalness upon her but not so much that she would ruffle anyone enough for her to lose money or be forced to stand for something."
Rewatching The Crown šŸ‘‘ with my wife and she moves and stays neutral like Queen Elizabeth Regina.

:wow: The Beyhive will never be destroyed without repercussions. I have seen empires broken, dreams crashed, dictators dethroned, but nothing will ever I MEAN EVER TOUCH THE BEYHIVE.

Beyonce could have a crime ring and illegal smuggling rings of prostitution.

So disappointing to watch fool break their backs to defend a celebrity from any criticism. Especially BeyoncĆ© of all them. She loves adopting actual radical iconography/imagery to convince these idiots that her newest product is some kind of radical action. These ppl will claim she’s putting her life and career on the line by dropping a song where she’s cosplaying as a working class person but somehow she’s just supposed to get a free pass for not even bothering to use her platform to speak up against atrocities going on rn. It’s all so lame. These people are so sad.

I don't care about Beyonce opinions, but I am a little familiar with the writer (not personally, I just see her stuff here and there) and she's a typical black writer who attacks and critiques black things and black people on behalf of white people and white publications

She's one of those black women who white people keep around as their POC friend
So a nonfba bedwench basically

I'm just going to say this as if its common sense

If you're expecting Beyonce or ANY celebrity in 2023 to "speak their mind" on foreign issues, diplomatic issues, or any issues that could affect their bottom line you are an idiot. A naive idiot or idealized idiot it makes no matter.

NO celebrity has a responsibility to speak on anything other than their own art. Artists are not politicians. Artists are not scholars. If you watch the documentary it shows how much time, effort, and MONEY goes into making Beyonce "BEYONCE. This woman spends the majority of her time learning choreography, writing, recording, vocal training, and putting together a massive show in which she tours several countries across MULTIPLE CONTINENTS. When the F U C K is she supposed to have time to read up on and study the THOUSAND YEAR war going on in Israel?!?! Thats not her lot in life. If Beyonce said anything about that confllict it wouldn't do not one thing to end the war earlier, people misconstrue the "power" that celebrities have. Michael fukking Jackson, the greatest and most popular entertainer who ever lived, wrote a song about racial, social, and cultural harmony and got every major artist of his time to appear on the song and guess what? Racism still exists and people still treat each other like shyt. Beyonce doesn't owe anybody her thoughts and opinions.

"Bu bu but....Muhammad Ali put his life and career at risk for a cause!"

Muhammad Ali was stripped of his title, lost every major endorsement he had, and almost went broke standing up for the "cause". He was also temporarily abandoned by his own religion of black "brothas" and "sistas". He had his character run through the mud. And even with all of that, the wider black community at the time still supported him. Black celebrities donated money so he could feed his children and keep a roof over his head and spoke up in his defense. His biggest rival, Joe Frazier, gave him money and supported him at a time when it didn't benefit him the slightest. The black community back in the "day" was an actual COMMUNITY. If Beyonce loses her endorsements and is stripped of all her records and Grammys, who in 2023 is speaking up for her? Whose going to put money in her pockets so that she can live the life she's been living for over thirty years? So her children can still go to private school and fly on private jets? All of those beehive stans ain't going to do a goddamn thing. Hell Kaepernick did the "right" thing and Jay-Z stabbed him in the back and cut a marketing deal with the NFL. None of these celebrities were put on this earth to "Make the world a better place". They're here to entertain us.

"Bu bu but...BEYONCE DRESSED LIKE A BLACK PANTHER ON THAT ONE PERFORMANCE FOR THAT ONE SONG!"

So the fukk what?!?! The Black Panthers were a BLACK AMERICAN freedom fighting group. Beyonce as a BLACK AMERICAN would be more in tune with the black panthers and their history than she would with the Israel conflict. Beyonce has also donated to causes that positively affect BLACK AMERICANS so her stance on where she sees herself AS a BLACK AMERICAN should be pretty clear. She shouldn't have to speak on shyt outside of that.

There's plenty you could criticize Beyonce for, but wisely staying silent and stacking her millions isn't one of them. This woman is an entertainer not the Dalai Lama (Whose a pedophile) or the President of The United States (whose a racist) or even your local Mayor or Governor (who misappropriate tax payers money for all manners of depraved acts) She's here for you to listen to her music and shake your ass at her concerts. If you as a listener get anything else out of her message that inspires YOU to do something for the "cause" then thats great, but she shouldn't be held to any other standard.

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
Entertainers are not your saviors
Nor are they freedom fighters
That spirit died years ago
If you can’t see the plays they pull
That says more about you than them
Save yourself and do your own work to better your community
Instead of waiting on a meat puppet to tell you how you feel
Especially in the era of capitalism

Don't care what beyonce does or does not do ...point is your post is naive coz with the money sent.. whatever is happening over there affects all Americans.

Notice I used the word "priority". Aint no way the average working American supposed to devote more energy to the middle east than they are to little black kids not knowing how to read. Or meth running rampant in the streets or anything like that.

I'm not ignorant to the concept and effect of global conflicts and geopolitics. But IN THE CONTEXT OF THIS CONVERSATION, I could give two shyts about Beyonce or her stance. THAT was my point.

You came in from on high arguing a point I wasn't even trying to make. Learn how to debate instead of faux outrage.

Sooooo, I don’t care if this journalist gets cooked for what she wrote about BeyoncĆ©. My only thing is do people do this kind of stuff for less popular artists? Like would a chick cooking a journalist for going at Ari Lennox go viral? This pick and choose stuff people be doing is hilarious
