GOP extends it’s senate lead but Dems take the House.

Stacy Abrams and Gulliem win both governorships

Trump gets re-elected in 2020.

my governor is a repub in massachusetts, im voting for him again :ehh: he's done pretty well

given that you can only be a RINO at best to govern this state :lolbron:

i dont have much hope for abrams, but i hope gillum does it and carries that corpse nelson with him. fukk scott and desantis
Baker's gonna run the same con all moderate Repubs do. Toe the line first term get wild the second or run for president. Larry Hogan is running that playbook in MD.

im not too concerned about that, i cant even think of an "evil repub agenda" that he'd have a fukkin prayer of passing in massachusetts :heh:

I didn't say anything about an evil agenda but moderate types like him and more liberal like Cuomo love to cash out to who payed to get them there when it's safe to do so. It's historically been the case.

Without knowing him fully I'm sure he's the same climate change ignoring, charter school, public program defunding nut they all are.

But I guess if your ideal government is a "fiscal conservative" at the top with a liberal congress it could be worse. Must be nice to be able to play that game. At this point I don't think this country can sustain it anymore. We got a good two decade window to change some things and moderate right wingers aint it in my view.

im not sure i see him going too far nationally, but idk :yeshrug:

the MBTA already pisses away enough public money with a repub in office, im not interested in adding to that with a dem

I think Dems take control of the house and get to 50/50 in the senate with Pence breaking the tie. I think Dems have a better chance of taking the senate than most people do.

Democrats win a very narrow majority in the House. As in 3-5 seats. Anything else would be a huge deal.

The Senate gets trickier by the day. I'd initially predicted that the Republicans would actually extend their lead by a seat or two, but it's looking more and more like it'll either stay 51-49 (with 2 seats flipping each way) or it'll be deadlocked.

The gubernatorial elections are the Democrats's best chance at making gains. Anything less than 8 seats should be seen as a disappointment.

With that said, the Democratic establishment have learned absolutely nothing from 2016 and should be held in contempt (and if you don't believe me, look at all the races nationwide where the DNC and other centrist establishment figures are working to sabotage even mildly left-leaning candidates. Or just about anything Nancy Pelosi has said in support of capitalism, in direct opposition to young voters's attitudes). As of now, no matter what victories they take from this election, I can't actually see them unseating Trump in 2020 because, despite everything Trump's done, they don't actually have anything to offer a desperate populace reeling from the effects of an economy built to screw them out of economic mobility and freedom, and inundated with media messaging playing to their absolute worst impulses.

  • I think it is a wrap for Heitcamp in ND so the Dems will be down to 48 seats if that happens.
  • A recent poll has Rosen up in Nevada
Poll: Rosen leads Heller by 4 points in Nevada Senate race that would put the Dems back to 49
Not saying that it is likely, but I think there is a better chance than most people think. I think it will be a 50/50 split with the republicans keeping control.

One thing the Dems should be concerned about is the NJ race. Menendez is highly corrupt with high unfavorables. However, a new poll show he widened is lead Poll: Menendez leads GOP challenger by 15 points in NJ Senate race

The first part is not Bakers playbook whatsoever. Baker will be a Presidential nominee in the next election.

Not sure but I'm expecting GOP takes senate and Dems win the House by a narrow margin.

Dems need to be concern about Indiana.
