that all of the people in the skyline were ancestors of those in parts 1-5 that were killed. Thats a good fukin theory.

I def got that vibe once they confirmed JB was who he was, and explained more of the chain(s) of the people who should've never existed. Would be a dope tie-in.

I can see that being true. the ending credits the penny rolls over the map that Iris made of all the families being killed. As it's rolling it shows clips of some of the deaths in the headlines. I wonder if any of them is a reference to any deaths in the previous movies :jbhmm:

Actually thinking more about it, I dont think that's true. I think the skyline is it's own thing. I dont think any of the people in the first movie were related to anyone in the skyline.

Sidenote: I thought in one of the movies you can make death "skip" over you if you survived it's initial try? Maybe im misremembering, it's been years since I've watched the first couple ones.

They showed a clip of the log truck so it is implied all of the people stemmed from that skyline and death was catching up cause they all had families

shyt was mad dope. Liked that it actually fleshed most of the characters out in this one, which made some of the kills that much more impactful when they came to fruition. I’ve argued that aspect has been one of the franchise’s biggest weaknesses for a while now.

They gave Todd a nice moment and it felt like homie had the longest screentime in the whole series here, fittingly.

Bobby reminded me of Sean William Scott’s character in the first joint. Dude was a little naive but good-hearted and right away I knew his fate would be among the nastiest of the bunch, lol.

This film definitely peaked for me during the hospital sequence. Someone could argue the opening disaster but I really enjoyed the build-up to the MRI more.

The PIERCINGS :damn: :dame: :picard:

I thought the ending fell a little flat compared to some of the previous entries’, but all in all this was still a fun ass time in the theater.

My FD rankings: 1 > 6 > 3 > 2 > 5 > 4

I only remember the others by naming the major disaster. Log truck was 1? Airplane was 2? Roller coaster was 3? What Am I missing...
Airplane was 1, I think that is where the main character found out you can have death "skip over" you if you survive one of it's attempts. It would circle back around when it went thru the cycle though.

One thing I didn’t quite understand
The chain is broken if you cheat death by dying and coming back to life. I don’t get why that would break the chain, if you die shouldn’t death move on to the next person regardless if you are revived or not? Or I guess it’s the coming back to life part that breaks it:yeshrug:

Never watched the series so this is coming from an "outsiders" perspective. That intro blew me away. Never open my mouth (pause) at so many scenes in my life. Just shocking. Like I was covering my mouth with my hands throughout. I wasn't scared but it caught me off guard. I've seen alot horror films this year but is exactly what I was looking. Love the styles and loved the fake outs. And was satisfied with the ending. "Sinners" was a better movie but as a pure horror film. This was the best this year to me.
If you liked this one, I'd bet on you appreciating the rest of the movies too. The opening scenes from Final Destination movies are pretty iconic. A lot of the lore you saw in this one gets discovered in the originals, and there are memorable deaths in all of 'em.

I'd put this one at the level of the first three FD movies. 4 and 5 were a drop off, but they're still alright. Especially 5, which has a pretty fun tie-in to the rest of the series.
