7 easy. One of the greatest games ever made. 8 is trash in comparison and the story is one of the dumbest in FF history.

The world, music, locations and characters are all mostly great, it had a good handful of boring sections, but so did 7

Very unpopular opinion time..

while I think 7, 8, 9 & 10 are all great, my personal opinion is 7 < 8/9 < 10

I loved everything about 10

Its funny out of all of them I did not like 9 it was just too cartoonish for me and the story i was like this makes no sense gawddamit!!!

I think FF7 is the FF game a most people started with so it gets held in the highest regard because of that
