Final Fantasy IX finally coming to PC... and mobile

Is there a way to get this on my tablet for free? I really don't wanna waste time and $ downloading it and then finding it to be a waste of time. I know the game is good, I just wanna see how it plays on a tablet. If that makes sense.

It's called an emulator. I'm about to download epsxe right now I never finished this game.

the fukk you talking about B? You act like FFVII is universally considered the best FF when it isn't. I've seen plenty of lists that have IX, VI, IV and sometimes even X above it. shyt is mad subjective. FFIX is the most fun I've ever had playing a FF game bar none. Vivi is a GOAT tier FF character. I loved the story, I thought Kuja was a dope villain and I loved all the background artwork. shyt is fukking FIRE son. If square made a FF on the level of 9 today the whole world would go fukking NUTS because they've released nothing but trash for the past decade

Disagree. I used to dislike FF8 but after further replays it's a great game - and it's not because of the "story". The party interactions in this are great. They're all "kids" and lost their memory of how they knew each other. It was nostalgia seen through their eyes when they figured it all out. The ending reinforced it all with the "prom" setting/theme going on which is like going back to high school thinking about the antics with ya homies and all the shyt you went through. The closure part after the Sorceress stuff is top notch.

10 is great too. 10-2 was trash of course.

FF8 has the best intro music of all of them imo - the Overture with the black & white still photos of various characters in different settings. Again, playing up the nostalgia/memory themes that made the game so great.

FF8 had one of the best openings in game history, but it's not better than 7 or 10. Those are the pinnacles of the series.
