I'll take a remake rebuilt from the ground up on the PS4 , but not fukking with the sequels. ALL the spin offs were straight which just exposed how bad the OG characters were

Those fight scenes were incredible. They should have given the director of those fights more work.

It's pretty obvious Sony/Square has stashed FF7 remake away as its Get-Out-Of-Jail Card.

They see no need to saturate the market and satiate the insane appetite for FF7 just yet. The day that Sony/Square is in dire financial straits and it looks like they might crumble is the day they'll start work on a FF7 remake. The longer they wait, the more money and fanfare it will be greeted with.

Until then, they can pump out a bunch of other games without nearly as much hype and expectation and basically print money without the burden of worldwide disappointment looming over them.

I would be worried if we ever saw a FFVII remake go sequel. That means Squeenix is about to go out of business or came up on some really hard times.

You could say Advent Children was a sequel. But they easily could have expanded on it and made it a video game

A prequel, movie and spin off game is all that's needed. What else can they touch on ?

The only thing they could possibly make a story about is the fact that Genesis, Weiss and his brother are still out there.

But I have zero interest in one. Especially the company that Square has become. But fuk all that where is FF 15!? 3 FF13 sequels and Agito() and all we get is trailers?
