Zero memorable characters or villains, but the story was so amazing, no over world linear pathways for the entire game, everything wrong XIII comes from this game down to it having sequels

Tidus, Yuna, Rikku, Wakka, and ESPECIALLY Auron are all memorable. Matter of fact I'll say they are the most memorable cast right behind FF7's.
And technically it did have an over world map once you got Cid's ship. The linear pathways were just to progress the story, but you didn't have to follow them straight up. Had plenty of paths to venture to collect special weapons, items and even summons.
Basically what I'm saying is you don't know what the fukk you are talking about.

This is a really terrible take. What people hated about 13 was the slow pace and terrible combat system. Sure, a large portion of 10 was linear, but the characters, story, and main combat mechanics is what made it such a beloved game. FFX is sitting at an 89 Metacritic user score, compared to VII's 91, VIII's 87, IX's 90. People loved that game, breh. Now XII and XIII are at 75 and 72, respectively. Why so low? 12 is when they implemented gambits, and the core gameplay was automated. 13 followed suit, but a much more confusing, less interesting story and characters.
Maybe you personally didn't like it, and that's cool, everyone has the right to be wrong. But most think it was a great game, and probably the last in a string of classic Final Fantasy games.
People hated the story characters and the fact the game was a pathway didn't even have shops, there was nothing wrong with the combat system
Zero memorable characters, zero memorable villains, nobody cares about Final Fantasy X, there characters aren't even streamlined in cameos like that, stop it with this, Final Fantasy X started the trend in the series that lead to the 13, no world map, linear story progression, uninteresting party members, these are facts

You're just repeating the same shytty opinion you've already shared. What you mean to say is YOU don't care about FFX, but you're a nobody. Exactly what cameos are we seeing Steiner and Rinoa in? People really trying to see Zell in the next Kingdom Hearts release? No, but you can find Auron in one. Not to mention the internet's near obsession with Rikku. But again, if you wanna know if people hated a game, just go to a website where actual people share their views on said game.... Which is why I brought up metacritic user reviews. You can be blind to all that if you want, but you look dumb saying "no one cares" about something, then ignoring actual evidence to how everyone else actually feels.
Because you haven't addressed them, the game was the beginning of the decline of square, thats not an opinion it is a fact, and the franchise has never been the same since that garbage ass came out
