They teased this ten years ago. They probably been working on this, XV, and KH3. No way they would announce this if they weren't serious. We're talking about one of the greatest RPG's (or video games in general) of all time. Gamers will be on their head about this game every step of the way and they know it. I'd say it's a reality.

The rumor is that it started pre development a few months ago and that it will kick into high gear once ffxv is out the door (next spring) and kingdom hearts 3 is close to being done.
