Here's the thing from the build I played at E3 the shyt was more than just pretty...It was fun AF. If Midgar is an entire game then another game is basically Kalm to the City of Ancients. A third can finished the game.

A big part of development is getting design and physics right. The bulk of whatever comes next could low-key already be done. The more I see this game the more I feel like Squeenix went on a DECADE long slump to specifically release this game.

shyt, feels like XV was just a tech demo to see if the engine could run a full game (XV is trash but it LOOKS great).

XV was getting the tech right and XIV was floating the company for the last little bit. I'm being a tin foil kufi...but if that was the case internally holy shyt.

Now do xenogears next

At this point, if you're complaining about the game, I don't know what to tell you. Between this, KH3 ReMIND (in my opinion), Death Stranding, Persona 5 Royal, and Cyberpunk 2077... We're gonna be set for a good while. Shout out to Watch Dogs Legion as well and anything else I'm forgetting. :banderas:

Also... Keep in mind that the PS5 is right on the horizon. People are complaining about how many entries the Remake will have, but I would think that the Blu-Ray Disc capacity will be increased quite a bit. That's a factor, and probably part of why they can't say straight out how many parts it'll take. They have to get a good number of parts, otherwise it'll turn people off.

Also... I better not hearing anyone complain about Classic Mode, because it literally allows you to play like the OG does. It'll handle all the extra stuff and you just focus on doing ATB attacks and items. It'd be silly and such a waste of level design if people just want the characters to stand in a line side by side, not to mention you would have to build a whole new battle system just on top of that. Never mind the mid-battle cutscenes and map changes. They didn't even have to add it in.

Some people can never be happy. The anger and vitriol in those spurious rants is laughable. Trying so hard like "Look at me I'm not hype I'm so important!":mjlol:

The battle system is not the same turn based system of the original.

That classic mode just makes the characters fight automatically and u get to choose commands when the bar fills up.

“in Classic Mode this aspect of gameplay is handled automatically. The player does not need to do anything and the character fights automatically, charging up their ATB Gauge.”

This sounds like they just automated the current battle system and called it "classic mode"

:hhh:
Here's the game you want.

I wanted a remake not a remaster.

But it's cool, when this shyt drops and has a trash ass battle system like every other final fantasy game for the last 18 years, I'll be back to laugh at yall nikkas for falling for the hype yet again.

:francis:

It's definitely not trash based on what's shown.

And classic turn base is there.

Sure the characters auto auto attack to raise the at gauge but you aren't killing most enemies by just sitting there not using abilities.

Essentially you have a updated atb system on classic mode.

That's the story of every FF game since 10.
:francis:

Looks good, then it releases, and everyone complains about them moving away from turn based combat.

Essentially you have the new battle system with 75 percent of the battle automated, and then called "classic mode"

I don't disagree, usually I can smell the bs on the FF titles. I haven't really been wrong yet.

But this one hits all the check marks for success.

And atb was 90 percent automated you know, literally all you did was wait for a gauge to fill while you got attacked, then selected an ability or attack.

The battle is the last thing I'd be worried about.

Sofar it looks like they nailed

Combat
Setting
Music
Characters

We know the best part of the story of ff7 imo is midgar. So that should be good too.

For them to fail it would have to be something really crappy going on with the game at this point.

To me the classic battle system was about strategy and preparation for the next turn.

The classic mode in this game simply limits the the battle to only giving you control when the gauge fills up, which let's you use the limit breaks or items and stuff. It doesn't sound the same.

I know square's track record with these types of battle systems so I'm gonna be sceptical until I see it in action.

Everything else about the game looks great, but then again I thought all that stuff looked great in every FF game before release.

I played it. Its not trash. And if you think turn-based is trash then either you don't like RPGs or you just in here to troll. Either way...FOH lame :camby:

why do keep entertaining this sour tart you dullard :snoop:...he's clearly fixated on having one opinion regardless of what you say. I literally showed him you could play the game the old way and then he said it still wasn't the same :dahell:...did you see me continue to respond to him? :what:
