So I just played this demo yet again and I love it.

I noticed a few things though.

1. Normal mode it takes a whole lot longer to kill enemies. Enemies that take a long time to kill make hack and slash a better experience. In KH I was whopping ass on normal like nothing.

2. Barrett takes a year and a day to get his ATB up when you’re not him. I was looking at his ATB and it wasn’t going anywhere for some reason. I see him shooting, but wtf.

So it seems to have other characters increase their ATB fast, you’ll have to play as them rather than wait for it while playing as Cloud.

This game is good af!!

Except you DON'T have to go to Fort Condor at this point in the game. The player can completely choose to ignore this mission and continue to Junon, or try and find Yuffie or explore around the sleeping man's cave. Choice and exploration are the hallmarks when people describe open world games, and FF7 has plenty of that. It may be hours into the game, but that's just a red herring.
Is there a way to do all of that and finish the story as a whole? Or is it some you pick one option you have to keep going and pick the next option second play through?

Didn’t get far in one, but I heard you can beat the game without Vincent and Yuffie, but is it possible to get both?

If you’re playing it for the first time I suggest you just play it, progress in the natural way and enjoy it. Don’t worry about secret items etc, that’s for those who’re playing it again probably for the 5th time.
How long would it take to beat the game straight through?

My concerns for FF7 isn't with this game actually, I know it'll be fine.

I'm worried about how they are going to handle going forward.

Will my items and data carry over to the next games?

What level will I start out at?

If I max out a character this episode, will they be level 1 next episode?

It should definitely carry over no problem. Isn’t that how the last ones worked? I didn’t play the OG version enough, but I assume it’ll be the same experience.

materia is flexible and customizable as you want it to be.

in my old game, I had Cloud as a physical power house with the only magic he used being E. Skill

made Aeris/Tifa my healer

Vincent was a mix of spells/physical.

Barret was all physical.

Never really bothered with the other characters, beyond getting their specials for completions sake

The original versions were just one complete story spread throughout disk.

Episode 2 could and will have people that didn't play episode 1 that are going to have to start out fresh.

Now they could start them with stock items and gear and at some base level but that be jarring for someone just getting into the game to start with a lvl 30 character with big numbers right out the gate
