Final Fantasy X is 20 years old today

Damn is 16 that bad? X2 was the last FF I played

Its a Devil May Cry clone but you roam in some huge empty levels and enemies have ton of HP.

If it was a character action spin off and designed as such it would had been great since the gameplay has potential but as an RPG is trash.

This was the last FF game I ever played up until the FF7:Rs. I liked it but didn’t capture my attention like 7 or 8, nor was it racially progressive.

I remember it was actually weird seeing the first big cgi cut scene midway through the game with Tidus looking distinctly Asian when up until that point his in-game character model and name had me thinking he was an absolute (or ambiguous)“cac” like Squall and Cloud. That’s kinda their MO tho with the art “style”.

FF7 probably has the best supporting cast of the Playstation (PS1 & PS2) line of games, maybe diversity too if Cloud, Tifa, and Alucard guy are considered (ambiguous white) Asians
