Playing through the first one now. damn the visuals and soundtrack are beautiful

Starting to see why winb defends this game... On chapter 4 now and I'm loving it, I love great game soundtracks and this might be the GOAT soundtrack, and the battle system is fun once you figure it out

The game would be so much better if well over half of it wasn't an overextended tutorial of a battle system that really isn't even all that complex.

I think the game just suffers from some questionable design choices. Your party is limited too deep into the game. The story falls flat because there is little to no world building. Your perspective never extends much past the primary cast of characters. The antagonist aren't really that interesting either and lack presence.

My guess is the long development time left a lot of stuff on the cutting room floor and the final product was a compromise.

I'm on Chapter 5 now and I like the story so far, makes me want to read all the shyt in the encyclopedia. i agree its missing a villain though

the boss fights in this shyt are intense as fukk i think this is my new favorite FF boss theme

They haven't announced them yet but they are doing PS4 to PC ports of the remaster. That's probably something for E3 and after IX is released.
