Cut it for what? To add later as DLC? What's the story with the development of this game? This game went from a solid 9 in my book to a 6.

there was a contract in place that a FF needed to come out in 2016 before they switch directors.. they had to rush to get it out so they cut a lot of end game stuff like Tenebrae would be fine but the invasion would have started when you got inside a bit more back story on luna but they cut all her story out because they were scared of back lash.. also the Altissia was going to have a dungeon where you could drive your car. notice how you're always taking your car with you end game but only use it one time? there were more content but it was cut

the guy who posted all this info said that square wanted a main line FF game out this year no questions. square already had a deadline when tabata took over.. if this game came out two months ago it would have been worst then what we got and that 12 remastered going to be never got to really get into 12 but i played all the games around it such as tactics shyt might be my favorite games on handheld.. whole world of 12 is great

i am guessing you have not finish the game yet if you're saying this.

Well, the first stop after Altissia had an (smaller) open world area and you could drive the car alone.
The original Leviathan fight combined interiors and exteriors and many enemies on screen, Luna also appeared.
There was a level leading up to when you encounter the Shiva statue.
The dark world section of the game featured more enviroments, you encountered each party member in different locations and you could explore part of Lestallum.
The final boss (which was another Ardyn form) got cut early this year.
The Tenebrae invasion happened after the protagonist entered the city and you got to explore a very small section of the city and Luna's chamber.
Scenes that featured Luna got cut because they were considered to be problematic.
Cor got written out of the last half of the story since it made no sense for him to show up (he was Noctis companion during the small open area after Altissia).
The end part of the game was supposed to be bigger. I know for a fact that dark world Lestallum was finished. Old Iris was also featured in some scenes. Cindy too (and I also recall them not wanting to change the Cindy design even though it was problematic because her older design implied character development).

I'm on chapter 14 now. What in the blue hell is going on with this story?
Chapter 9 - 13 were complete GARBAGE.
I can't believe this game was being mentioned as game of the year.

Another potential masterpiece fukked over because of development hell and constant deadlines just to get the game out. The story makes no damn sense at how fast paced it is at the end and there is NO real explanation on anything except to take back the throne. I still give the game a solid 7-8 and am glad I played for its high moments, but it's such wasted potential with all of the cut story and content. This makes me have no faith in Square with the Final Fantasy 7 remake.

Just finished the game. I cannot believe how bad they royally screwed this game. Absent story with tons upon tons of plot holes. Absolutely pointless side missions. The only redeeming factors this game has is a decent combat mechanic and a relatively fun chapters 1 - 8, even still I was getting bored with the first 8 chapters. They made so many mistakes with this game.

I'm giving it a 6.5 out of 10.

Pros
Nice graphics
Fun combat (hit and miss though due to terrible camera placement)
GREAT music

Cons
Chapter 9 - 15 are complete garbage
Incredibly corny dialogue
Everything you do from chapter 1 - 8 is immediately cancelled out in chapter 9 due to the fact that there is no more real combat outside of 2 boss fights.
Combat, while fun in many cases, is not the least bit challenging due to a poorly paced item system that allows you to kill pretty much anything regardless of your level if you have enough items.

A strong fully fleshed out story would have easily saved this game because they definitely started down the right path. It's painfully obvious the devs stopped trying after chapter 8.

If you're playing this game right now DO NOT BOTHER LEVELING UP PAST LVL 35 (40 max)!
Trust me, your wasting your time if you go any further. I just finished DESTROYING this game without ever seeing the game over screen and I ended at level 38

Breh this game didn't even have text. I understand the general plot of the game. That much is simple. But in 30 hours we didn't get any depth to these characters or any sense of caring for anything that's going on because so much happens "off screen" with you being told later what happened. The battle with the summons are so forced and sloppy it's embarrassing. I'm telling you. This game had LOADS of potentially. i don't think Kingsglaive is sufficient for the game. It feels like something that's not really apart of the game. Feels like a whole nother story in of itself.
