Gladiolus was good and has a great boss fight
Prompto isn’t bad but it felt like a chore to complete

So overall if it was part of the base game it would be a good thing .
Exactly...most of the things that people wanted in the main story is there in the dlc, like a Gilgamesh fight, a Ravus fight, an Ardyn fight where Ardyn actually puts in work, explanations for a lot of shyt, even though there is still more stuff that I want to know.
Overall there’d be way less complaints if the DLC was in the initial game.

When they officially announced it a couple of months ago it had a tentative date of Jan 2018, but it seems to have been pushed back for unexplained reasons. Steam site just states early 2018 now. There is allegedly a FFXV: Royal Edition [1] that includes all the DLC coming for PS4/Xbox so it might drop around the same time as the console Royal Edition releases. Not sure when that is though.
