I mean, nikka kinda earned it. Only real single he had off it was "Started from the bottom", which was a massive hit but like 6 months old or some shyt. His new single is catchy, playing in mainstream and hiphop nightclubs (even though he should really get a singing coach if he plans on doing that live)., and "All Me" had a lil buzz at one point. It's a solid album (I still like "Take Care" better) and it appeals to a lot of different fanbases. He went on shows like Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel and played some of the cuts which I'm sure got even some middle class, conservative white people interested ("Too Much" is a dope ass song)

You can't hate that he made a versatile album that sounds more like RnB than Rap. It's catchy and different so why hate. Other rappers might've made Rap albums that didn't have a wider appeal. And MCHG sold simply off Jay's name. Only track I actually bumped was the one with Ross and the minute long MikeWillMadeIt joint
